Incident of indecent exposure in Birstall

Police are appealing for information following an incident of indecent exposure in Birstall.

The incident happened sometime between 8.10am and 8.20am on Thursday May 1, 2014 on Saltersgate Drive.

An 11-year-old girl was walking to school when she noticed a car parked in the street. As she passed the vehicle, she noticed the man inside indecently exposing himself.

The vehicle then drove off.

The man is described as white, in his mid-forties and of medium build. He was a t-shirt and jeans.

The car is described as green or blue, old looking, square in shape and dirty. It had a circular sign on back above the number plate.

PC 2029 Ed Stephenson, the investigating officer, said: “This incident was obviously quite upsetting for the girl.

“I am appealing for the public’s help to find this man. I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have seen this man.

“If you have any information which could assist with our enquiries please get in touch.”
