We are hearing of an increasing number of reports concerning incidents where dogs are not being kept under proper control in public places.
One recent incident on 23rd June resulted in a teenage girl being attacked and suffering quite serious injuries which needed hospital treatment. This incident took place on a public park in the village and has been report to, and is being dealt with by the police.
All dog owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to keep their animals under control at all times whilst in public areas. All dogs, of any size or breed, are capable of inflicting serious injury especially to children.
On parks owned and run by the Parish Council, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
