Distraction Burglary – Paget Avenue

Around 2.00pm on Tuesday 8th September a distraction burglary took place on Paget Avenue.

An elderly female was returning home from shopping when her attention was distracted by a male and female in a silver car (no details of the car known).  She went to see what they wanted but left her front door ajar, they showed her a map and asked for directions to the ‘walk in centre’.  This went on for a few minutes has his English was very poor.  She then noticed another male walking down her garden path and challenged him as to what he was doing.  He just smiled and walk off, at which point the car also drove away.

A short time later, she found that cash and bank cards had been taken from the house.

Descriptions:-

Male in car – East European, 5’8″, 30’s, slim build, short dark hair.

Female in car – East European, 50-60,stocky build, short frizzy ginger hair.

Male on path – East European, 5’9″, 30’s, very thin build, short dark hair.
