Birstall Burglaries – 18-19th October

Overnight on Wednesday 18th / Thursday 19th October, the following incidents have been recorded:-

At approximately 1.50am a house in Walker Road was broken into.  The occupants were disturbed by a noise then heard male voices, went to investigate and saw their car being driven off at speed.  Access was via a rear patio door.  The car keys were stolen together with the car, an Audi Q5.

At approximately 1.57am, the alarm at Boots Chemist on Sibson Road was activated by burglar(s).  Access was by removing a glass panel in the front door and some minor value items were taken from shelves.  Police officers attending the previous incident were able to respond quickly and it is thought that the culprits were disturbed.

At approximately 3.00am, there was an attempted burglary at a property in Birstall Road (backing onto the playing field).  A small window in a rear door was smashed, but there were several dogs on the premises that started barking and it is believed that culprits were scared off without gaining access.

Were you in any of these areas around these times, did you see or hear anything suspicious ?  Please report any information by dialling 101 the police non-emergency number.
