Cash Machine Scam
On Thursday 23rd September the cash machine at Barclays Bank on Sibson Road was tampered with. Between 8.20am and 9.30am an illegal device was attached which is intended to copy the card details of customers.
The police are repeating their warnings for the public to be vigilant when using any cash machine. If such a device is seen or suspected, do not try to remove it, please report it immediately on (0116) 2222222.

Distraction Burglary
We have been informed of a distraction burglary which occurred on Monday 13th September at approx 1.30pm in the flats on Wanlip Lane. The elderly victimn was 'conned' by a man posing as a Water Board Official and an amount of cash was taken. The description of the culprit is :- A white male, 30 years old, 5'-7" tall and stocky build, wearing a grey jacket with dark trouser bottoms.
The police believe this crime may be linked to others in Beaumont Leys and Loughborough on the same day and in Castle Donnington on Tuesday 14th.
