Bullies steal bike.
On Sunday 17th April at approximately 3.20pm, a 10 year old boy riding his bike with friends in Watermead Park, Birstall, had his bike stolen.
The victim was approached by a group of 7 or 8 youths all aged about 16 years old who threatened him into handing over his bike, a black 'FEAR MAGNUM' cycle with a red striped seat.
Police say most of the youths were Asian and one wore a turban.

Recovered property.
Syston police have recovered some stolen property, most of which has been returned to the rightful owners.
They are asking residents of Birstall, particularly in the Whiles Lane area, to check their sheds and garages. They are still in possession of the following:-
Grey Hilka bench grinder.
Orange Black and Decker garden VAC.
Green Quattro Black and Decker cordless drill/sander in a silver case.
Anyone who thinks the property could belong to them, or knows who the owner could be, should contact Syston LPU on (0116) 2222222.

Burglary - Malling Close.
A garage on Malling Close was broken into during Tuesday 12th April. The front up-and-over door was forced open and among the items stolen were :- a Go-Ped, a Cycle and a petrol powered Moped. It is believed a vehicle was used to carry them away.

Burglaries - Whiles Lane.
Overnight on Sunday 10th - Monday 11th April, there were two burglaries on Whiles Lane. In both cases the items stolen were fishing equipment. The total value of the items taken exceeds £3,000.00.
