Theft from Narrow Boat

On Monday 12th September, between 9.30am and 6.00pm, a camera was stolen from a narrow boat moored on the canal between Whiles Lane and White Horse Lane, Birstall.
This is a very popular section of the canal for local dog-walkers etc.

Car break-ins.

Overnight on Thursday 8th - Friday 9th September, three cars were broken into in Birstall.

(a) Front Street. A Ford Escort had the lock broken out of the door ( not known what was stolen ).
(b) Castlegate Avenue. A car had the side window smashed and a CD player stolen.
(c) Stonehill Avenue (middle). A car had the side window smashed (not known what was stolen).
