Armed Robbery - Kingsgate Avenue.
On Tuesday 28th March at approximately 8.30pm there was a robbery at the Kingsgate Stores in Kingsgate Avenue.

Two suspects were involved, both wearing dark clothing with hooded tops and with their faces covered. They were in possession of a hand gun.

No vehicle was seen but there was probably one parked nearby possibly in an adjacent road.
The shop worker received minor injuries.

The till was taken complete and may have been dumped locally.

If you saw anything at all which may be of interest to the police , please report it on (0116) 2222222.

The police have stressed that they believe this is not the work of locals and it is a one-off as far as Birstall is concerned.
