Door-to-door begging Roman Road
Residents in the Roman Road area have reported a woman holding a baby going from door-to-door apparently begging for money.
She matched the description of a woman reported in the Leicester Mercury recently.
This is a technique sometimes used to distract you towards the front door while accomplices attempt to break in through the back door or a window.
Shots fired from BB or pellet gun
Several incidents of damage and harrasment have been reported, which may involve a ball bearing (BB) or pellet gun.
Drivers around the village have reported their cars being hit or damage which looks like it was caused by this type of gun. A number of residents have also reported damaged windows.
Police believe the incidents may involve a pistol type of weapon rather than a rifle since it is easier to conceal and the incidents have been reported around the village.
If you see or have seen anything suspicious or have been a victim, please report it to the Police on 222 2222 and the Watch on 267 6397.
If you see anyone with any type of firearm, whether it appears to be real or an imitation, report it on 999 immediately.

Suspicious incident in Birstall
At about 8.53pm on Sunday 15th April, a nine year old girl was walking along Meadow Lane when she was approached by a man who spoke to her in an aggresive manner. She ran away and joined two friends on Blenheim Road.
The man ran towards a red cabriolet type vehicle parked near the junction of Meadow Lane and Blenheim Road which contained at least four other people. The vehicle is described has having a black roof and pop-up headlights. The vehicle was then driven down Meadow Lane, returned a short while later and was driven off along Blenheim Road ( away from Lambourne Road).
The man who approached the girl is described has having light brown skin, brown spikey hair and brown pointed beard. He was wearing black clothing and fingerless gloves.
It is believed that as the vehicle left the area, another vehicle had to swerve to avoid colliding with it.
Were you in this area of Birstall around this time on Sunday evening? Did you see these men or the vehicle?
Please report any information, however minor, on (0116) 2222222, invetigating officer id number 0682, or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
