Message from Leicestershire Police.
Most of you will be aware of a suspected 'Car Bomb' incident in the centre of London. The following is a message received from the Leicestershire Police:-

1) There is no known or suspected connection between the incident in London and the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area.

2) Over the next few days, due to a general increase in security levels, there will be an increase in police activity in all town centres, major shopping centres and large organised events.

3) Although there is no known specific risk, everyone is asked to remain vigilant. Please report any suspicions or suspicious activity immediately by ringing 999.

The purpose of this message is both to advise and reassure the general public.
