Stolen - Cycle.
A boys cycle was stolen on Wednesday 22nd August between 2.00 - 3.00pm whilst he was visiting friends in Lambourne Road, Birstall.
It was an expensive cycle and is easily identifiable, it is both postcoded and has security markings. The cycle is a 'Kona Fire' mountain bike, silver coloured with a black saddle.
Were you in the area around this time? Did you see anyone riding a cycle of this description? Have you seen a cycle of this description abandoned anywhere?

Police Surgery.
A Police Surgery will be held on Saturday 18th August between 10.00am and 12.00 noon at the former parish council office on the Sibson Road car park.
Our local beat officer PC Chris Falle will be available to speak to any local residents, just call in at any time during the morning.

Burglary - Front Street.
On Tuesday 14th August a house was burgled in Front Street. The incident took place between 4.00pm and 5.00pm and an amount of property was stolen.

Theft of Number Plates.
Overnight, Wednesday 8th/Thursday 9th August, number plates were stolen from two vehicles in the village. One was on Gwendolin Avenue and the other in Wanlip Avenue.

Cycle - found.
Early in July, a boys cycle was found by one of our members, abandoned outside a house in Loughborough Road ( close to Bentley Road ). Efforts have been made to trace the owner through local schools and the 'Birstall Post' without success.
