Birstall and Wanlip Neighbourhood Watch is a completely voluntary organisation supported by well over a hundred-and-fifty volunteers who contribute to the Watch in many different ways.
We are always looking for new volunteers and their skills.
These are among the tasks undertaken by Volunteers who give some of their spare time to the Watch.

The majority of our Volunteers are individual Scheme Coordinators, the links between their Schemes and the Committee.
There is also a smaller group who manage the overall running of the Watch. A significant number of these are retired and, with the passing of time, sometimes have to reduce their involvement. Therefore, we are always looking for new colleagues to help with these tasks.
These range from maintaining our street signs, helping at our monthly Advice Shop to producing our Newsletter. A more complete list is shown on the left.
The amount of time people chose to give varies from task to task but, on average, most give around three to five hours a month to keep the Watch functioning.
If you are able to help in any way, we would be very glad to hear from you.
You can send us an email to: watch@villagewatch.co.uk or leave us a message on: 0756 2422 756, without any obligation.
We shall get back to you as soon as we can, to answer any questions and explain what is involved.
Whatever skills, interests or new ideas you may have, we would like to use them to help us to keep our villages safer places in which to live.
